چکیده
P systems are computing models, where certain objectscan evolve in parallel into an hierarchical membrane structure. Recentresults show that this model is a promising framework for solving NPcomplete problems in polynomial time. The present paper considers the possibility to perform operations withinteger numbers in a P system. All four arithmetical operations areimplemented in a way which seems to have a lower complexity thanwhen implementing them in usual Computer Architecture.
